About Sri RSP Sastry Garu

Rayaprolu Seetharama Parabrahma Sastry (R.S.P. Sastry) was born on July 3rd, 1951 (Aashada Bahula Amavasya) in Repalle, Guntur District, Andhra Pradesh, India. He pursued his education and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from A.C. College in Guntur. Later, he served as a manager at the State Bank of India, IFB Hyderabad, from which he retired on April 30th, 2011.

Throughout his life, R.S.P. Sastry traveled extensively across India, Europe, and America, visiting many spiritual centers and interacting with spiritual leaders. His journey into spirituality was marked by a deep search for the right Guru and spiritual path. In December 1982, through the pamphlet “TARAKA NAMAMU” from the Ongole December Call, he was introduced to Master C.V.V. and experienced his initiation into the teachings of Master C.V.V. in the evening of October 1982. Following this, he received physical initiation under Sri D.V. Hanumatha Rao, and upon his recommendation, further guidance from Sri Didugu Narayanarao, an advocate in Guntur.

He deepened his spiritual practice by working with senior yoga practitioners such as Shri Kotha Ramakotaiah Garu of China Kakani, Shri Sitharamaiah of Vijayawada, Sarvari Garu of Hyderabad, and Shri Shanmuggam Garu of Kumbakonam. His dedication to Master C.V.V.’s teachings led to his active role in guiding others on their spiritual journey.

In the year 2000, R.S.P. Sastry Garu initiated the idea of Lotus Congregation with the support of Shri Yadaiah Garu, the head of the Hyderabad center, and in coordination with the Kumbakonam center and other associated centers.

His unwavering commitment to spreading Master C.V.V.’s teachings culminated in the formation of the Master CVV Satya Yoga Sadhaka Trust in 2002, based in Hyderabad. Over the years, R.S.P. Sastry Garu has played a pivotal role in guiding others on the path of Master C.V.V.’s yoga. He has initiated nearly 100 individuals into this transformative practice, many of whom continue to practice yoga at the center he leads. Through his work, he has fostered a strong spiritual community dedicated to the principles and teachings of Master C.V.V.
